Dr. Keith Rigsby is a distinguished Medical Director, internal medicine specialist, and one of the co-founders of Urgent Care Plus. A graduate with honors from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Medicine, in 2003, Dr. Rigsby has had an active leadership role in various healthcare settings. His experience includes serving as Medical Director, hospitalist, Vice Chief, Secretary, Treasurer, Associate Director, and Chairman. Recognized by Ennis News as one of its “Top 20 Under 40,” he has received numerous awards and acknowledgments throughout his career, including from Ennis High School Healthcare Pathway, Kaplan University, Methodist Health System Graduate Medical Education, and Ennis Unity.
For over a decade, Dr. Rigsby and Ingrid Hinojosa MSN, APRN, NP-C have closely collaborated in developing innovative healthcare delivery models, continually bringing evidence-based practices to the forefront of patient care. With 18 years of healthcare experience and a strong foundation in rural chronic care management, this team member is an essential part of both our clinical and administrative teams. Their expertise extends to working in Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) and managing standard onsite clinic operations, where they help ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
Clinically, they support providers through patient intake, vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and assisting with procedures.
On the administrative side, they manage scheduling, medical records, front desk coordination, revenue cycle management (RCM), referrals, insurance verification and authorization, credentialing, and more. Their wide-ranging skill set enhances our ability to deliver efficient, high-quality care across a variety of settings, especially in rural and aging populations.
